This paper is a presentation of nursing philosophies. The development of such philosophies and current rends in the philosophy of the discipline of nursing will be examined and discussed in the paper as well. The paper presents expressions of ideas as they are related to the environments of health care, illness and field of nursing. The standards of care will be examined and the philosophies of nursing interpreted using the code.
