Location, Location, Location: The Geographical Positioning of Great Britain.

This paper will address four key features. First, that the country of Great Britain is unique as a nation as it is physically isolated from the rest of the world. Second, that this positioning has forced Britain to become entirely dependent on the economic processes of importing and exporting, and therefore was an instigating factor in the Industrial Revolution. Third, that Great Britain's physical isolation has resulted in forming political alliances based outside the trade process. And fourth, that expected shortages in natural resources would adversely affect the welfare of Great Britain it the country maintains its current political and trade states. 9 pgs. 5 f/c. 4b.
