The purpose of this paper is to provide a discussion on how GIS and or remote sensing may be used for mapping and or scaling a certain soil physical characteristic. The paper will examine methods offered in current journal articles and literature. This paper provides reasons and the best methods for this type of soil management program as well as how they are used and any new innovations in the field.
