This essay is a summary of a field trip that the student took on traditional Sto:lo first nations lands, near Hope British Columbia. Conducted by a Native guide, this trip was very informative; it gave traditional names for the places and the stories and legends that were associated with them. Many of these legends had common themes which are discussed in the essay.
