A Comparison of American and Canadian Immigration Laws and Policies
The topic of immigration has become politically divisive in most, if not all, advanced market-economy countries. The immigration laws and policies of the United States and Canada are quite similar in a lot of ways. Yet in other respects, they differ. This paper compares and contrasts American and Canadian immigration laws and policies, highlighting the immigration process, asylum/refugee policies, and human rights.
