virtual organizations

This paper provides a brief overview of the VO in respect to its effectiveness as a business system. The virtual organization (VO) is an organization that is composed of several business partners. This partnerships is designed specifically to integrate the resources unique to each company for the purpose of producing a product or service. While partnerships of businesses are not uncommon, the VOs are unique in that they serve to create a context in which businesses can maintain their own distance, integrity, and goals while still contributing to a shared project. In this sense, the VO is not merely the unification of the shared environment but is also a demonstration of creativity among the individuals participating within.
