This paper answers a series of questions about data warehousing, and the use of a Decision Support System. Beginning by noting that decision making entails making a choice between alternatives, with the alternatives based on an analysis of the data, relating to the issue about which the decision is to be made, and that there are different types of problems requiring a decision to be made so that the nature of the problem often determines the method for making the decision.
