The works and life of Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) unsteadily shifted between the ideas of love and logic of the late Victorian age, but he never renounced his beliefs or his choices (Sreenan). He led the Aesthetic Movement of "art for art's sake"; but he was inclined to use his pen to depict social injustice of his time.
