This paper considers the nature of photography as a document of an event and as a way of generating a sense of moral indignation for wrongs depicted in the photography, noting how in the modern media age repeitition undercuts the power of a photograph so that the image becomes more a logo than a spur to action or moral indignation, with certain television presentations as examples.
