Claude Monet: An Analysis of Light, Color, and Technique
This seven page undergraduate paper examines four of Claude Monet's paintings. The author notes that the Impressionist style of art is very interesting, especially the many paintings of the nineteenth century artist Claude Monet, for he sought to revitalize artistic vision through the use of colored shadows, the exclusion of black, and the use of bright colors. The landscape paintings of Monet display his use of light, color, and technique, especially his 1881 painting, The Artists Garden at Vetheuil, which provides a very good example of how Impressionist paintings sought to revitalize artistic vision through the use of colored shadows, the exclusion of black, and the use of bright colors.
