Summary: This paper will describe and give a history of the Duomo of Milan church. The Notre Dame Cathedral will compared to the Italian cathedral as well. A discussion of gothic architecture and the Romanesque period will also be included. A summary will be given. Descriptions of both works of architecture will be detailed in the paper. The trends of the Romanesque period will also be discussed.
