Mesopotamia and Egypt are two kingdoms dating back to 3,500 to 4,000 BC. Many of their religious beliefs, traditions, art, and architecture are similar, yet quite different. This paper will briefly outline the different periods of time as it describes the economic, social, religious, and artistic elements of these ancient kingdoms. The focus of the paper will discuss geography, landscape, climate, environment, and natural resources with how they affected the art and architecture of these ancient kingdoms.
